The International Alliance For Youth Sports (IAYS) is making further strides in Africa, as it was recently announced that the IAYS and the Supreme Council For Sport In Africa (SCSA) have developed a partnership to make the first-ever Game On! Youth Camp a part of the 7th annual All-Africa Games in July.
The IAYS was developed under the umbrella of the National Alliance For Youth Sports (NAYS) to oversee international initiatives such as the Game On! Youth Sports program, which brings sports and activities to underprivileged kids around the world. Currently, Game On! has presence in the African countries of Zambia and Cameroon, Mexico, and throughout the Caribbean.
The All-Africa Games a regional multi-sport event held every four years, organized by the SCSA. The competing nations must all be from the African continent.
The SCSA, headquartered in Yaounde, Cameroon, was established in July 1965 in Brazzaville as the Comite Permanent du Sport Africain (CPSA). Since 1977, the SCSA has been functioning as a specialized agency of the Organization of African Unity (OAU).
