A total of 30 coaches registered with the Trinidad-Tobago Volleyball Federation recently completed the National Youth Sports Coaches Association training program.
The clinic was held at the Southern Regional Indoor Sports Arena in Pleasantville, Trinidad.
"The coaches had all been participating in a coaching program that focused on the technical aspects of the game, so the NYSCA clinic added a different dimension to their training," said Mark Mungal, the Chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago Alliance for Sport and Physical Education. "The clinic was well received with coaches expressing strong support for the NYSCA Code of Ethics."
The coaches that completed the clinic are all assigned to schools as part of a new initiative of the TTVF.
I believe that both the ethics' issues and the volleyball coaching ideas were very useful to the coaches," Mungal said.
He added that Mushtaque Mohammed, the TTVF president, expressed his keen support for the NYSCA clinic.
"He looks forward to having another clinic for more coaches in the near future," Mungal said.
