The GAME ON! Youth Sports Program Gives Every Kid A Chance!
Game On! Youth Sports was created by the International Alliance For Youth Sports to address issues that hinder sports programming for children. Game On! Youth Sports gives kids the opportunity to participate in sports, and experience a healthier lifestyle with less chance of choosing negative activities.
Game On! Youth Sports hits the island of Anguilla
In Anguilla, the Game On! program was launched in May 2008, and has since spread to all primary schools across the island. Anguilla has trained teachers and youth coaches in the Game On! approach and now has a fully trained support staff, both in and out of schools. It has also begun making preparations to implement the Game On! curriculum in the new school term, which began in September.

Dominica embracing Game On!
The International Alliance for Youth Sports, in partnership with the Trinidad and Tobago Alliance for Sport and Physical Education (TTASPE) and with the assistance of Mr. Oswald Savarin, Sport Coordinator from the Ministry of Sport, Education and Youth in Dominica, have created an effective approach to make Game On! Youth Sports a major success in Dominica.

Game On! Youth Sports in St. Vincent and the Grenadines

St. Vincent and the Grenadines was chosen as one of three pilot islands for the Game On! Youth Sports in-school initiative.

The initial workshop in 2007 featured 17 participants, which consisted of primary school teachers and Ministry of Sport youth coaches. At the completion of the workshop, the Game On! Caribbean office and the St. Vincent Ministry of Education, were able to determine the following schools for the Game On! pilot in St. Vincent: Kingstown Preparatory, CW Prescod School, Sion Hill Government and Stubbs Government.

Since its inception in 2007, a follow-up workshop was conducted in May, where it was announced by the Ministry of Education in St. Vincent that they intend to use the Game On! Youth Sports program as the main resource tool for the application of the new Primary School Physical Education curriculum.

Game On! Youth Sports making a positive difference in Speyside, Tobago

A pilot project called “Nurturing Child Friendly Environments through Sports for Development and Healthy Living” is currently being implemented in Speyside, Tobago by the Trinidad and Tobago Alliance For Sport and Physical Education (TTASPE) with the support of the International Alliance for Youth Sports (IAYS), Tobago House of Assembly, the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society, NGO, the BARCAM and UNICEF.
