The Global Gear Drive (GGD) is a program that was established to help provide sports equipment to children and youth worldwide living in marginalized communities that wish to take part in quality youth sports activities but are unable to due to a lack of funding and resources. Global Gear Drive is primarily funded through NAYS’ charitable foundation, the Sammy Wilkinson Memorial Foundation.

Throughout the year, GGD works to collect and re-distribute these items based on the various needs of communities worldwide reaching out to our organization in need of further support. IAYS also offers its selected communities educational resources as well in order to ensure their youth are participating in youth sports activities in a fun, safe and positive learning environment. Now, with ONE WORLD. ONE TEAM. volunteers can browse our list of communities and choose one or a series of communities they would like their donations to go to. For those interested in donating gear to communities not listed in our ONE WORLD. ONE TEAM. initiative, special requests are accepted however, all those benefiting from Global Gear Drive donations are subject to our application process before being served.
