The Sammy Wilkinson Memorial Foundation (SWMF) was created by the National Alliance For Youth Sports (NAYS) in 2004 in honor of a young boy, Sam Wilkinson, who passed away in a tragic accident the previous year. Sam, also the proud grandson of NAYS’ CEO & President, Fred Engh, possessed a strong love for sports and a passion to help others.
The foundation today helps to raise funds for one of IAYS’ charitable program called Global Gear Drive, in addition to other selected youth-based initiatives centered around improving the lives of children through SPORT. This years 8th Annual Sammy Wilkinson Memorial Golf Tournament and Jam for Sam Event will be held on Friday, July 27th, 2012 and will kick off at Ocean City Golf Club for a fun-filled day of golf and later that evening, conclude with a memorable celebration at Seacrets Nighclub, one of Ocean City’s most popular attractions!
