The Sammy Wilkinson Memorial Foundation (SWMF) was created by the National Alliance For Youth Sports (NAYS) in 2004 in honor of a young boy, Sam Wilkinson, who passed away in a tragic accident the previous year. Sam, also the proud grandson of NAYS’ CEO & President, Fred Engh, possessed a strong love for sports and a passion to help others.
The foundation is planning for its 9TH ANNUAL SAMMY WILKINSON MEMORIAL GOLF MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT AND JAM FOR SAM on Friday, July 26th, 2013. The event brings together hundreds of dedicated supporters throughout the Maryland Eastern Shore area in order to remember Sam and generate support to continue to assist under-privileged youth in communities throughout the U.S. and worldwide. Proceeds are earmarked to the National Alliance for Youth Sports’ Global Gear Drive program and for the third year in a row, Worcester Youth & Family Counseling Services. Information on next summers event will be our shortly and for information on ways to show your support to the foundation, please contact Sammy Event Coordinator and Administrator @ Cdaub@nays.org!
